Darknight
I didn't think I would like this record but it's so infectious in its ability to change from prog to post rock then to psychedelic and onwards into alternative metal. Such an amazing feat to introduce the saxophone and it sounds so cool, this record is outstanding.

I love the way TFATD jump between styles and genres whenever the song demands it. The result is a wildly diverse and highly entertaining album; I can’t wait to see what else there is to discover on repeated listens.

TDATD have considerably widened their approach! Most notably, of course. by the inclusion of vocals (delivered by bassist Kev Feazey in a good, somewhat damon-albarnesque kind of way) but this isn't where they stopped. This album is a multi-headed beast, maybe still rooted in a kind of prog rock, but there are plenty more elements like stoner/metal, shoegaze, psychedelic, indie pop/rock and more.

The Fierce & The Dead were formed 13
years ago in London. Originally an instrumental band, in recent years bassist Kevin Feazey has taken on the role of lead vocalist, adding a new dimension to the band's sound.
